Stableford Rules Points Scoring Summary

The 18-hole stroke play competition is played under Stableford rules.

Everyone must use a score card provided by the organisers and scores on an individual basis.

In this type of competition points are awarded to each player individually depending on the score for each hole.

When the stroke index for the hole is the same or lower than the player’s handicap one stroke can be taken off the score.

more than 1 over par = 0 points

1 over par (bogey) = 1 point 

par = 2 points

1 under par (birdie) = 3 points

2 under par (eagle) = 4 points

3 under par (albatross) = 5 points

hole in one on 3 par = 4 points
hole in one on 4 par = 5 points
